‘Coming Home: Indigenous Data Governance By Us For Us’ IDSov Summit: Call for Proposals

The U.S. Indigenous Data Sovereignty Network (USIDSN) is gearing up for their 2026 IDSov + IDGov Summit, “Coming Home: Indigenous Data Governance By Us For Us,” April 15-17, hosted on the lands of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, and within the homelands of the Tohono O’odham Nation, in Tucson, AZ. We want to hear from you!
Event organizers are looking for Tribal and Indigenous leaders, Indigenous community programs, Indigenous data-focused scholars, policy experts, and other data actors and practitioners to submit proposals for presentations at the 2026 Summit.
We invite all data actors to submit proposals demonstrating how they have interpreted, implemented, and/or adapted the CARE Principles for Indigenous Data Governance in practice to sessions on April 15. We invite Indigenous people to submit proposals detailing the use of data for governance, the governance of Indigenous data, Indigenous data futures, and data infrastructure relevant to Indigenous Peoples in the U.S. and associated territories (inclusive of Hawai’i, Guam, Puerto Rico, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa and U.S. Virgin Islands) to sessions on April 16.
